My Mission
Many are unaware that Native Hawaiians are, in fact, considered a minority in the Hawaiian islands. It is not uncommon for Hawaiians, especially nā wahine (women), to grow up in poverty and refrain from attending college in the states. Great efforts have been made to improve the longevity of the native people and perpetuate the culture. As a Native Hawaiian wahine, I desire to not only preserve the traditions of my people, but also to encourage women to pursue their passions through education.
